It all began with a phone call to my preferred luthier who I used for 30 + years. He was in "semi-retirement" and only working on acoustic instruments. After playing and performing for my entire adult life including a 22 year stint in the U.S. Army Band as a bassist it was time for me to learn something new.

After some research I landed at Galloup Guitars in Big Rapids, Michigan, where I took a course in Guitar maintenance and setup. After leaving I started working on my own instruments, fellow band members guitars, and a handful from a local high school. 

From that Shoreline Guitars was born! Located in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, I look forward to serving the community far and wide and will continue to grow my skills with another visit to Galloup next year.
